ANGLO-SAXON OXFORDSHIRE

HANBOROUGH - ANGLO-SAXON BURIAL SITE

Between 1955 and 1964 excavations were conducted at the City Farm in Hanborough prior to gravel digging. A number of Anglo-Saxon inhumation and cremation burials were found together with prehistoric features.

Few artefacts were found with these burials but a number are held in the Ashmolean Museum.
